I Got In!

After having been on the waitlist, Capilano sent me a letter stating that a spot opened up for me in late July.

I did not hesitate to reserve my spot, and as a result, as of this writing, I have been a student in Capilano University's 2d animation program since September 2016!

Here are a few examples of what I've made there so far:

Anyway, I hope that this stands as a lesson to everyone: If you work hard and believe in what you're doing, you WILL get where you want to go!

I'll post a link to my professional portfolio when it's ready.

Capilano Application Status (WAITLIST)

This portfolio, this year, got me as far as the waitlist.

This means that I most likely won't be an animation student at Capilano this year, but as I've continued to draw as much as I can and I'm continuing to improve as a result, I believe that I can get in next year.

The portfolio below stands as a testament to my continuing journey in art and animation.

Portfolio for 2016's Capilano Animation Program

I sense that this is a bit of a long-shot, as I've tried and failed to get into Capilano University before.  But I've put in a lot of effort over the past few months, alongside my usual schoolwork, which will hopefully lend itself to a decent portfolio at least.

Here we go:

Life Drawing

Sketches of People

Location Sketches

Animal Sketches

Cartoony Stuff

Work Experience

Alright.  If this is accepted I will be very pleasantly surprised.  Either way, I'm hoping for some feedback.
